A busy month with 2 Chiltern League Fixtures and a successful awards evening. Good to see Dr Frank Newton & Jenny, along with fellow founder member Gerald Lovell & Carolyn in attendance. Awards winners are listed below, congratulations to all. Silson remain 3rd in the Chiltern League Division 2 after 3 of the 5 league fixtures (see below).

Chiltern League Teardrop Lakes MK Saturday November 9th

Silson’s scored a greater number of points at Teardrop than Keysoe, as did Oxford and Redway above us. The men’s team were boosted by the return of Mark Conway 34th, Chris Coghlan 38th and Toby Heley 72nd. A huge ladies team of 17 runners, included quite a few debutants. 31st Louise Honeyball, 45th Mary de Frates, 55th Tracey Turner, 60th Amanda Hallam and 78th Tina Morris. We hope you all enjoyed your day.

Derby 10 Sunday November 17th

On a very cold morning, Toby and I headed off for a 10am start. With a convenient start and finish next to Pride Park. The course headed out to Thulston and returned adjacent to the river Derwent. We were both pleased with our results, pbs: Toby 1.12.05 and 1.06.39 for myself. With a field of 2000, it was a well organised event and we would consider entering again.

Chiltern League Stopsley Park Luton Saturday November 30th

Although Silson out scored leaders Oxford City on the day, a strong performance by Redway saw the gap between 2nd and 3rd widen.  The fixture before Christmas tends to attract smaller fields, which was the case at Stopsley. Silson had 20 runners and returned with a solid team performance. Ladies 4th Helen Heley, 19th Louise Honeyball, 20th Jade Storer, 28th Rachel Prior, 33rd Mary de Fratis, 38th Susan Mulligan, 42nd Tracy Turner, 44th Madeleine Moutrie, 54th Sue Torrance, 57th Kim Froggitt, 58th Tina Morris, 61st Hannah Torrance. Men 16th Richard Francis, 27th Chris Coghlan, 28th Simon Woodward, 33rd Alfie Long, 47th Toby Heley, 51st Paul Holmes, 54th Richard Popiel, 60th James Spencer, 62nd Charlie Purr.
